AKA Jessica Jones: ABC Takes On Another Alias

Alias Vol. 4

JJVariety revealed today that Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is behind the project. Rosenberg’s previous credits also included a stint as an executive producer for Dexter.

In the early part of the last decade, Alias by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos introduced former superheroine-turned-private investigator Jessica Jones to the comic book world, and gave Marvel Comics their first true “Mature Readers” title for their MAX line of comics. Now, Jessica’s finally set to come to TV, and it appears she’ll beat The Hulk to television screens. It won’t be called Alias, though.

I’m a big fan of the Jessica Jones character and have followed her from book to book (Alias, The Pulse, New Avengers) and would be very happy to see her in live action on a televised show that would allow her to grow.
