What I Wish For You

I wish that you’d take the time to get to know yourself, like I do.
I wish that you’d start anew.
I wish that you’d treat yourself with the love, trust and respect that you so easily lavish onto others.
If only you knew your value; you are worth so much more.
Don’t give other people the power to see your worth, they will never see it.
They do not expect what they can not see.
You don’t need permission.
I wish that you’d keep your fears to yourself and share your faith with others.
I want you to fall in love with the life you live.
I know that you will remember who you are, with such certainty that you will never be forgotten.
Let your heart be kind, especially when its hard.
I wish that you would be happy for yourself.
Take the time to just be.
Learn from your past, from others; just learn something new each and every day.
I believe that you’ll find a way, on your own.
Belief makes things real.

This is a letter to myself.

Good read and words to live by. You know, as a famous drag queen once said: “If you can’t love yo’self, now how the hell you gonna love somebody else?”
