Your Delicate Frame

They say that the biggest surprises come in the littlest packages and you my dear are proof of that.
Day after day you put your heart out on display.
Baby girl there’s no reason for you to hide your sweet & divine innocence, let it shine.
When life gets the best of us, somehow you still remain the best of us.
Your moral compass is what gets me through the thick of things.
You’ve become that little voice inside of my head & my heart has reserved a place for you to reside.

You’ve never been one to fall apart over little things.
There’s so much going on inside your restless heart.
Could I be the one you’ve got you eyes on?
I don’t know why you look out for me the way that you do.
On the way out you remind me that you’re still here to lean on when everything is over & done.
One day I’ll fill you in on everything, but for now I’ve got to let you live your life.
I’m trying to be like you, I don’t think less of myself, instead I’ll think of myself less.

Never one to hold a grudge, but always holding out for another chance, you are a better person than me.
You’re not the type to walk out on someone, you’re always there to see it through till the end.

You belong to the world outside my window although I’ve never said it aloud as I watch you go.

You know who you are.
For all of the grief you’re given for being true to yourself, I’ll give you something that you can look forward to.
Everything’s alright up here right between where your heart and soul resides, everything else is nothing but a cheap cover for their insecurities & lack of character.
I would follow you down beneath all of the layers we’ve grown used to hiding under in hopes that something good would come of this.
When I talk about hope & faith, its you that embodies that perfectly, if only you knew.

You owe it to yourself to find somebody that won’t shy away from a challenge because that is what you are.
You were never easy although you’ve always been easy to love.
You see love isn’t simply something that you say, its something that you do.
When you ask what do I see in you, I see potential.
I want to tell you something that’s meant only for you, it’s not for the rest of them.
I see all of your beautiful flaws & that heartfelt wonder in your eyes that I hope will never dwindle or die.
I don’t know much, but I know you.
