Ready For Duty

Good or bad, that's what I need to hear.

Good or bad, that’s what I need to hear.

Trust me, I don’t know what I’m doing.
But I feel like this is the right way to handle this.
Look, all your talking does nothing except drown me out.
I cannot find a feeling I’ve gotten from you while you’re firing off words like it’s your war.
And all at once it gets hard to take & I feel so lonely.
Love doesn’t have to be a battlefield.
Through the quiet storms & the loud riots in my heart, I know that you’ll be there to back me up.
And for now that’s all I need, a ready & waiting soldier on my side to chase away the blues because you are the colour that I’m bleeding.
You don’t have to fight, I just need your might.
Your embrace is my support system.
So line on up & take your place with me.
Hope for the best, but ready for the worst, you’re my saving grace & shining force.
I know that you care for me & that you want me to make it through, and I will.
Don’t you worry, everything’s going to be alright.
Through the sorrow & the pain, after believing in you & I, everything’s going to be alright.

Awesome! Kudos to you my friend. Once again, your words have struck a chord with me. How do you always seem to manage to do this? LOL
