Inch By Inch

I want to touch somebody that won’t turn me away.
I want to see somebody that looks at me the same way.
I want to be wanted the second that I’m in your vicinity.

I’m about an inch away from stealing your breath away.
Let it all go, I’ll put it to good use.
You can measure the coming attraction by counting your pulse.
Heart skipping beats like dropouts cus we never learn when we’re both in attendance.

You want company when you want warmth.
You want to talk when you haven’t heard from me in a while.
You want to be wanted around the clock, but I’m not on call.

I’m this close to taking you for a ride tonight.
Hold on tight, I don’t want to lose you along the way.
Speed is not an issue when I’m into you.
There are no brakes, I cut the cables.
We’ll stop when we die.

The closer we get the farther I’ll take you.
I’m about an inch away from stealing your breath away.
I’m this close to taking you for a ride tonight.
Feel your pulse against by body.
We’ll stop when we die.
