Outside

Living life on the outside
What you see’s what you get
Nothing more & nothing less
Can’t let you in
Skin deep is where I end

Walk carefully on the surface
Don’t wanna crack, I’m not ready for that
Let me be
Alone, I am certain

I’m tired of coming up blank
Coming undone wasn’t part of the plan
But I want it, wanna be open
So open me up to a world I used to know
Used to know

Oh, outside, I can run
Run as fast as I can
Oh, Outside, you have to deal with what you get
Today is not like yesterday

Living life on the outside
Touch only what you can see
Nothing is what it seems
Can’t let you in

Living life on the outside
Looking out for anything
Nothing is what it seems
Should I let you in?
Skin deep is where I begin
Where I begin, again
