Guiding Light

Taking risks unnecessarily
Finding faults where there once was none
Succumbing to the cracks in my shell
Deep down these worries keep on sinking in
Yet you make these fears feel shallow
When I feel numb bring me back to life

I can always find the light in the things you say
I’m lost without you
Guiding light, save me from myself

Everything’s the same these days
I can barely see the difference myself
Expectations became broken with every word that went unspoken
Show me hope, where there once was none
It’s a long way back & I could use your company to get through this

Get me caught up in your emotions agleam
Shine the light on what I’m lacking
A good thing can’t lead me wrong

I can always find the light in the things you say
I’m lost without you
Guiding light, save me from myself
