Blind Spot

Can't replace the clarity you've claimed.

Can’t replace the clarity you’ve claimed.

I never saw you coming.
You came out of nowhere.
Never knew what I was missing.
You’ve left your mark upon everything without subtlety.

I can’t see past you.
No, I can’t see.

Seen it all a thousand times, but everything is a blur this time.
Searching for something I can’t find without you.
Can’t replace the clarity you’ve claimed.
Is this a cause for alarm?

It’s clear I don’t want to live without you, but you don’t know what to do with me.
What if we became strangers?
When we whispered in the dark we created a spark.
Love is a trip, watch me falling over the edge without a clue.

I miss what I never had whenever you pass through like a phantom pain.
Near or far, I can feel something which sight can’t simply explain.
For better or worse, I’m on a collision course with the life painted inside your eyes.
Put your vision before mine.

I can’t see past you.
No, I can’t see.

Look me over as though my name has been set apart.
Show me a sign that we’re closer than we seem.
Wash the blindness from these eyes.
Would it really be so dangerous?

I can’t see past you.
No, I can’t see.
No, I can’t see.
