Masks (Pt. 4)

image

It’s too easy to get lost in what’s missing.
Slipping into deeper shades of grey with each mistake.
This won’t last with the world at our fingertips.

I recognize your life from your language.
You like your hell with a splash of Hennessey.
All the things you’ve done became you.

You want me to think of you differently as though I never knew your name.
We’re different breeds and it’s really starting to show.
Who do you think you are?

If yesterday doesn’t sit right with you move differently.
Get a handle on your truth and there’s nothing to think about.
Cancel all these complications.

When you’re M.I.A. it’s not the same.
All these pretenders imitating real talk.
If you want to be somebody, be yourself.

Understand your energy, live like it’s nobody’s business.
Show me something real, over and over again.
I want to see you.

    • Thanks for understanding Rebecca. This most likely is the last part of the “Masks” series.

It was a most deliciously enticing series! If this is the end what an endearing way to! I love reading what you feel! 😍
