You Lack Nothing

If you can dream it, you can do it.

If you can dream it, you can do it.

Walt Disney was once fired by a newspaper editor for “lack of creativity” & look at everything he’s created.

Imagine what you’re capable of.

Shake It Off

To the left is everything that I used to fear.
What’s right is to turn & face it directly.
Can’t dance around this.
Better leave it all on the floor.

You better step, step up.
Show them what you’ve got.
Feel your way through it & don’t question what you’re doing.
Now is the time to make moves & shake things up.
Don’t worry, shake it off.

Follow the beat of your heart.
There is no contest when it comes to living your life.
Put your hands in the air & surrender yourself to the moment.
Take everything in, one breath at a time.
The world isn’t ending, there will always be a tomorrow.
But today you can have it your way, so make it happen.

You better step, step up.
Show them what you’ve got.
Feel your way through it & don’t question what you’re doing.
Now is the time to make moves & shake things up.
Don’t worry, shake it off.

Countdown’s begun, get moving.
The build up is what you’ve been waiting for, rise to the occasion.
Don’t rush, make every step you take your own.
There’s nothing on your mind while you’re sliding into place.
There’s nothing to talk about, you know what you know & you don’t know what you don’t know; you’re freestyling.

Can you move me?
See right though me.
Find your footing & make your way.
No rehearsals, every step is the first.
You’re about to witness history in the making.

30 Days

Well it seems that my 30 days are up! I’ve been posting poetry & other creative tidbits for 30 days straight. I enjoyed doing this so much that I’ll drag it out until the end of the month.

30 days of anything is a lot for someone with commitment issues. I don’t know how other people fared with this initiative, but I’m glad that I kept going. I liked knowing that I had a deadline of sorts & I made sure that I posted a poem before going to bed; usually leaving me to resort to thinking on the spot of something worth writing while the clock was minutes to midnight.

Thanks for all your support guys!

Note to Self: You’re Running Low

As a “writer” I always ask myself:

“What can I write that was better than what I just wrote?”
