Black Lives Matter

Too many Black people have died, and there are not enough words to excuse why or how they’ve died so horrifically. Every time the Black Community witnesses the reckless murdering of our Brothers and Sisters, especially at the hands of those who are sworn to protect all of us, we die too inside. We lose any sense of peace we have with every video we have to watch, every character assassination story, every excuse uttered by someone playing Devil’s Advocate, and every Racist weaponizing our very existence against us.

You can’t expect people to not feel outraged when their cries go unheard. Every stance we’ve taken up till now is WRONG, but no one seems to know the RIGHT way to give some humanity and justice to us. Racism has relentlessly snuffed out too many lives, hopes and choices. I’m tired of feeling so frustrated, it’s exhausting.

March, donate, educate and listen. Do whatever you can to encourage change.

Man payback is a bitch, again & again. This story is actually from 2009, but for some reason its been circulating around the net again with the suspects names.

So let me get this straight, she eventually let him go, telling him: “Get out of my sight.”

Viktor first went to the hospital to treat his swollen testicles and then to the police where he explained he had been held hostage in a back room at the hairdressers, chained up naked with pink fluffy handcuffs to a radiator – and fed nothing but Viagra.

When police arrived to question Olga, she said: “What a bastard. Yes, we had sex a couple of times. But I bought him new jeans, gave him food and even gave him 1,000 roubles (around 30 GBP) when he left.”

He certainly got a better deal than most robbers would, but RAPE is still wrong, very very wrong.

This story seems to speak to a certain sense of “female empowerment”. Olga now has her own fan page on Facebook with almost 2000 likes. People are exulting on her wall with such posts as: “Olga, you are my hero!” and “Power!!”

I’m all for standing up for yourself & protecting yourself, but I’m still left scratching my head. What Olga did is no better than Viktor’s (attempted & failed) actions.

I’m just wondering, why was sex used as a weapon in this scenario?

WTF: This Is Not A Humble Brag

In Britain, Michael Ruse, 21, was found guilty of assaulting a friend’s 55-year-old father with a baseball bat and baton after bragging about the trial on Facebook.

Ruse believed the 2 week trial was going in his favor and began posting on Facebook that he thought he would get away with it.

As the jury prepared to deliberate a verdict, an anonymous person submitted copies of Ruse’s Facebook postings and he was forced to change his plea to guilty.  

The judge considered the Facebook postings a confession to the crime. Ruse continued to post online that he thought the judge was stuck up shortly before his sentencing.

Ruse, who had previous convictions of assault and criminal damage, was sentenced to nearly a year in prison, a 2-year suspension and a 6-month curfew from 7pm to 7am.

Ruse’s friend, Terry Reeve, also participated in the attack on his own father and was found guilty of assault and criminal damage. Reeve was sententenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison.

The father suffered cuts to the head and bruises throughout his body.
