– Got 2 custom Spider-Man suits (Punk Amazing Spider-Man & Canadian Spider-Man)
– My friends and I saw Stan Lee at Fan Expo

Acting Moments:
– Found out I had a few IMDB credits
– Improvised lines with actors and made them laugh on a few projects
– Recorded lines for “Zoolaplex”, “Knights Errant”, and “Realm of Ritualists”
– Chatted with actors and Youtubers

3:30

image

It’s 3:30 in the morning, and you’re still on my mind.
Between this little light and all the noise at night, what little peace I’ve found is mine to treasure.
You were in my dreams again, and I don’t know why.
I wish you well, but I must lay your name to rest.
We are who we are, not who we once were, I know that now.
This is what it means to feel in a world where nothing stays the same.
It’s 3:30 in the morning, and we’ll never be the same again.

My Happiness Jar

Last year I decided to start a Happiness Jar (or Gratitude Jar). The idea is to fill it with moments that lifted my spirit, and were fun. So at the end of the day before bed or whenever the urge struck, I would tear off a piece of paper and jot down something that made me smile and feel good. Today I finally emptied that jar to make room for 2015’s entries.

I managed to have 60 moments (err 59, since 1 of them was a duplicate). Most of my happy moments were tied to things I did with friends like “Game Night”, making new friends or reconnecting with old ones. Shockingly, I had quite a few work related moments, and that realization made me smile. Background Acting has allowed me to travel, meet interesting people and experience some fun things, so I can’t wait to see what 2015 holds.

I tried to whittle down my 59 happy moments into a “Top 10 Favourite Moments” pile, and I could only cut the list down to 26 moments. I stopped once it became apparent that my inability to cut my moments down was actually a VERY GOOD thing. The sheer quantity of events, people, and things that I’ve experienced in 2014 couldn’t be paired down because there were so many standout moments worth being thankful for.

I’ve set aside a pen & a bunch of sticky notes just for this year’s jar. Every year is filled with ups & downs, but as long as I can find experiences worth smiling about, things will be more than fine.

Escalate

We’re loud until we’re quiet.
Keeping it together until we can not.
Hide all your feelings fast.
Your heart’s a mess, coming apart at the seams.

Shattered dreams & broke down heart beats.
We couldn’t help ourselves.
There’s no one word to describe all this dead-end disappointment.
Laugh until you cry & die a little, I did.
It hurts for both of us, but let me let you go.

In the morning you will leave me, like a faded memory.
And I will wash away with the night ahead. Intoxicated by the voices filling our heads, this is where our story ends.

Remember Those Days

You will feel better...

You will feel better…

It looks like another one of those rainy days
But I can’t stay locked inside
I must find something to call mine

Remember those days
When innocence was neccessary
When questions had answers
And brought peace of mind

Remember those days
When your dreams didn’t run in circles
When yes meant something
And anything seemed possible

Remember those days
When there was nothing to hide
When you could stand for something
And something good came from it

Remember
Losing sleep shouldn’t be the norm
Drinking to bottle emotions shouldn’t be what the future holds

Take my life
Take everything I own
But I will always have my fortitude
Fueled by memories of a better day

Remember those days that left you with a smile in your heart & warmth in your eyes
You will feel better
You will feel whole
