Withdrawal

Constant contradiction like withdrawal from an addiction.

Constant contradiction like withdrawal from an addiction.

Lay your head down.
Don’t be afraid to drown in the warmth of this caress.
Retreat from your body while we lose track of time.
This is not something you think about, it’s something you simply feel.
Your touch is a good kind of high.
And every time we get low you find some way to blow my mind.
Even when you can’t take no more, you yearn for it all the same.
Constant contradiction like withdrawal from an addiction.
You want it all the time & you don’t even know why.
Take comfort in taking chances.
Find rest in light of this caress.
Don’t hurry your mind.
Don’t worry your time.

Afterglow

Our passion runs up & down these walls.
Exploration never felt so good.
I want to go deeper until I can feel the unforeseen.
There’s no escaping the things that we do.
You’ll never understand why I look at you the way that I do.
As long as we’re trading affections I’ll take what you give.
In silence we speak of the things that we did.
With glances & grins we hold onto that feeling,
Just long enough to remember that it was real.
We’re so close to reaching a breakthrough.
Why delay what we can do today?

Falling

It feels like I’m falling.
But I can’t get nowhere.
Pressure is rising, the air up here’s thinning & everything’s spinning out of control.
No one’s in control.

Everything you do is of no use here.
The atmosphere is stories above what you’re used to.
Now that I think about it, your fear of heights should be kicking in.
Right about now your heart stops.

Beating & fleeting your heart has ejected leaving you acting like someone dejected.
Hold on.
Fall.

Pull the cord, kill the commitment you made.
Pulling out instead of free falling.
I won’t be your fall guy.
Try as you might you can’t land your words on my heart.
So far I’m getting used to flying this uncomfortably high.

It feels like I’m falling.
So weightless, I’m rushing.
The clouds are vanishing.
Instead of dragging me down, every distraction loses its gravity.
