Rest

image

Rest your hand on my heart.

Nurse me back to life with your smile, when I can’t breathe.
Love me until I’m at peace.
You’re the cure to this violent insomnia.

Take It Easy

Why don’t we sleep tonight, and put our hurt to rest?
Hold on to this body
Safety is a feeling you won’t soon forget
Surrender to the peace rising to the surface

Hold me like you want to be held
I’ll hold you, not hold you down
I’ll tell you what little there is to be told
Take it easy

Choose your calling without warning
Lover, fighter, poet, or muse
In this bed you can be anything
There is no wrong way to simply be
Our bed peace won’t be disturbed

Hold me like you want to be held
I’ll hold you, not hold you down
I’ll listen, so tell me everything or nothing at all
Take it easy

Love is blind, but I see the beauty in my hands
You & I are falling in a place where dreams are commonplace
Leave the day where we lay & let the flames die down, as I lie with you

Hold me like you want to be held
I’ll hold you, not hold you down
I’ll listen, so tell me everything or nothing at all
Take it easy

I’ll hold you, the way you want me to
Take it easy
You’re safe with me
Take it easy
We’ll find the strength to start again
Take it easy

Intertwine

Following curves & crossing lines...

Following curves & crossing lines…

She intertwines her fingers with mine.
Her body molds itself to mine.
Following curves & crossing lines in ways that make us shudder & sigh.
Such warmth & such honesty I’ve rarely felt, how could I not crave for more?
There are no questions, this simply is what it is.
We’re holding on to each other & something more, something deeper than words could ever hope to express.
Our hopes & fears find common sanctuary, the war is over for as long as we rest.
My strength bends to her vulnerability.
Her calm mends my broken heart.
Piece by piece we come together & over time we rebuild one another from the inside out.
She intertwines her dreams with mine.
My heart molds itself to hers.
Following curves & crossing lines in ways that make us shudder & sigh.

Love Without Fear

Turn aside; close your eyes
Take the love you’re giving & hold on to it
Baby it’s all a dream after everything you’ve been through
Put your worries to rest and try again tomorrow

Maybe it’s not you that’s supposed to change
Show your face to the morning light
Show your heart to the flames burning bright
No more standing in the background
Don’t be scared to walk alone & don’t be scared to like it
When you show me love, the good fight starts again

Love without fear
Sure it’s harder than it seems
We all have to wake up, shake it off, rinse, wash & repeat
It begins with you & ends with me

Love without fear
My dear, dreams are meant to become reality
Little by little, it’s a start
Somehow you’ll get through this
Despite what you’ve heard, nothing can quiet your heart
Turn around; open your eyes

Love without fear

Cure

You’re supposed to make me happy.
So why do I feel this way?
I can’t be this divided.
So I introduced you into my system & let you have your way.
You’re getting better at making me lose track of the days.
Spent one too many resting while the world kept spinning round.
As times changed, so did I.
Each hour passing slowly put me at ease.
Every sound a distraction, giving me something to focus on besides this pain.
I took comfort in your release & found levity in this situation.
Tomorrow I’ll do better with you inside of me.
Tomorrow I’ll be better because I have to be.
