Caution to the Wind

image

Caution to the wind…

What sets you free, holds onto me
I don’t feel the same way anymore
Every step shows my age, until the hurt has passed away
You see everything that you want
And I’ve burnt bridges, so that you might see me crossing over

Caution to the wind
We weren’t raised to fall
Tell me do you still believe?

If it wasn’t for my absence, you wouldn’t see me when you fall asleep
Can’t get close from a distance without a heart to hold
There’s no need to read between the lines
Awake or asleep, all I do is dream of you, the one I used to know

Subtlety’s beneath me when you’re before me
Stop missing me & just be with me when you’re on fire
When a heart beats slow, surely we show it
And when it rages
Every touch spreads like wildfire, claiming every life in reach

Caution to the wind
We weren’t raised to fall
Tell me do you still believe?

What sets you free, holds onto me
Tell me do you still believe?
Believe in me

Reader Writer

What has the world come to when dreams don’t come true?
Won’t always get it right, but I’ve still gotta try.
The closer I get to naming the corners of your mind, the sooner I’ll know where we stand.
You don’t have to feel anymore, that’s what you have me for.
Let me put some thought into you.

When I can’t read her, I write her.
Blurring the lines.
Reader Writer, here we go again.

Reader Writer, give me something to go on.
Gave you what you need, supply & demand.
You win, but then again you always do.
Didn’t mean to change your mind or make you forget your hesitation.
Always pushing through the words you say, in hopes that you don’t love in a black & white world.
Do you want to flip through our history books together?

When I can’t read her, I write her.
Blurring the lines.
Reader Writer, let me ease your mind.

Captured by another unexpected feeling on the verge of becoming real.
No, you’re not alone.
I can’t be like everybody, I can’t tell you what you want to hear.
Cus I just invited myself into your life like Sunshine.
And now that I’ve got you, I’m gonna need you all the time.

When I can’t read her, I write her.
Blurring the lines.
Reader Writer, put it down again.

Passion Club

If I make a move, you'll be gone for sure. Join your passions with mine.

If I make a move, you’ll be gone for sure. Join your passions with mine.

Kept my finger on the pulse of your pleasure.
I can tell just what you want.
If I make a move, you’ll be gone for sure.
Sent into the stratosphere & beyond.
I need your mind & body here so I can carry on.
So forgive me if I tease you a little more.

I like pushing your buttons.
Let’s find out what this one does.
Open yourself to me & I will let myself in.
Take me in & I will set your body free.
Don’t be afraid to fall.
Come with me, if you’re ready to live.
Join your passions with mine.

Shouldn’t take me too long to get you loving.
I’ll turn you out like I’m flipping through pages.
Read between the lines, without a single word said.
Turn you on so I can enjoy the show.
Raise the volume so I can hear you go.
Loud & clear love, I’ll give you what you’re looking for.

Oh sweet lady, you’ve been thinking of me.
And now that I’m here you have nothing to say.
Did I leave you at a loss for words?
When I push up on you, I’m sure you’ll have something to say.
Pump, pump, pump, pump it.
I think she’s ready to blow.
You try to fight it, although you’re closer than ever before.
Let go as you hold on to me.

With just one kiss your passion is burning bright.
Yearning to expose me to what you’re all about.
Your burning flames are wet with desire.
Make me feel something that I can’t find out there.
Join your passions with mine.

I almost left you where you lay.
You say you still need me.
Better circle back around with this finger of mine, so I can chase your every desire.
You’re not finished with me yet.
There goes another day.
We could make this last forever.
Join your passions with mine.

Game of Hearts

Game of Hearts

Game of Hearts

Crushes can break you & love can make you
Dates come & go, but partners never leave you stranded
It’s that ride or die tide coming in everytime I sign up to ship out with you

Think about it for a second
You don’t gamble with certainty, you take risks with the unknown
Faith ain’t blind when you’re listening to your heart & mine
Love isn’t a crutch, it isn’t something you hold onto
Unless my black heart breaks your big heart & my views make your tears swell
You don’t have to worry about a thing
Once the words “I will change” become a regular part of every conversation
That’s your cue to move on & make reservations

We don’t always do what’s best for us because we’re afraid of being “selfish”
But it’s not selfish if you’re doing what’s right
Making moves on strangers while ignoring the heartbeat of your back home love is unforgivable
So if you can go a day or more without thinking of another, maybe it’s time to cut the cord & call it over
Love doesn’t dance with desperation just to feel a spark
Don’t play games with hearts
Every round cuts deep like diamonds

Crushes can break you & love can make you
Dates come & go, but partners never leave you stranded
It’s that ride or die tide coming in everytime I sign up to ship out with you

Player one, game over
You can’t win with a hand full of hearts
You just lose when you try to suit yourself
Every game in town is sleeping around, popping cherries two at a time like pills
One night isn’t worth the fight
Real love doesn’t play for keeps because it isn’t playing at all
Everywhere I go, I’ll have you by my side
So take my hand & we can figure this love game out
Let’s be real & see how that feels
It’s that ride or die tide coming in everytime I sign up to ship out with you

Falling

It feels like I’m falling.
But I can’t get nowhere.
Pressure is rising, the air up here’s thinning & everything’s spinning out of control.
No one’s in control.

Everything you do is of no use here.
The atmosphere is stories above what you’re used to.
Now that I think about it, your fear of heights should be kicking in.
Right about now your heart stops.

Beating & fleeting your heart has ejected leaving you acting like someone dejected.
Hold on.
Fall.

Pull the cord, kill the commitment you made.
Pulling out instead of free falling.
I won’t be your fall guy.
Try as you might you can’t land your words on my heart.
So far I’m getting used to flying this uncomfortably high.

It feels like I’m falling.
So weightless, I’m rushing.
The clouds are vanishing.
Instead of dragging me down, every distraction loses its gravity.
