Far Too Close

The things that no one sees are what draws us together, unspoken.

The things that no one sees are what draws us together, unspoken.

Your beauty never ends & that should be no surprise.
It is understood that we’re supposed to only look & not touch.
I’m not blind, I can see your eyes swimming with curiosity.
We could be close to the touch.

I won’t let you slip away, I’ve got a test for you.
Every kiss craves for more by design, there’s just something about it.
Like a lock & key, there’s no mistaking this turn we’ve taken, the door’s open wide.

Your voice escapes your lips & finds it’s way into me.
I’ll be found deep in the depths of where you need me the most.
I feel you in ways your body never knew.
Feels so good, we forgot how to breathe.
This time alone eclipses every experience that has come & gone.

There will be no love by proxy, there is only you & me.
The things that no one sees are what draws us together, unspoken.
I can feel all you’ve ever felt, I can taste your desire.
There’s too much love to stay away.
You’re far too close to stop now.

Sing me a song with each breath.
Part-time love doesn’t pay, we’ll take all the time we need.
You could have me doing anything you please.
Don’t you forget it.
The feeling goes on, and on, and on.

Grasp

I can't separate you from me.

I can’t separate you from me.

Your grasp extends beyond the way you touch me.
I feel no pressure coming from your way.
Take me without touching me.
Embracing what’s already yours like a dance we both know the moves to.
Make me feel right at home.
I hope you feel just what I mean.
Tomorrow’s never coming to take you away.

Closer than our skin knows.
So warm below the surface.
Your heat lingers like visible vapors.
Throws off my equilibrium, even though your beauty never gets in the way.
I don’t understand how you keep on finding ways to shine your light.
When words don’t come out right, your embrace sets it right.
Set free in your grasp like a compass with a clear destination.

Like raindrops falling from above, I never know where you’ll land.
But when you do, it covers me gently all the same.
You spread peace all over me.
Drenched in a warmth that can’t be calculated.
The temperature surrounding us can’t be measured by degrees.
I can’t separate you from me.
You’re still with me, even when you leave.
Your grasp extends beyond your touch.

Quotes: Passion Alone

“All I ever wanted was to reach out and touch another human being not just with my hands but with my heart.” ― Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me

“When you set yourself on fire, people love to come and see you burn.” – John Wesley, Christian Theologian

“sex is the consolation you have when you can’t have love” ― Gabriel García Márquez

“I feel too much. That’s what’s going on. Do you think one can feel too much? Or just feel in the wrong ways? My insides don’t match up with my outsides.” ― Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

“Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love… The clarity of hatred… and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we’d know some kind of peace… but we would be hollow… Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we’d be truly dead.” – Joss Whedon, Screenwriter and Director

Reach

Our capacity to feel shouldn’t be kept secret; it should be a religious experience.
Love may be the answer, but touch and what it brings leads to many questions.
How much do you trust me?
Why did you go there?
Where can your hands roam?
What can I do for you?

Transcend Touch (Revised)

When I feel you in my arms, I’m holding more than just your body.
I’m not grasping at just your physical being, I’m holding onto something unseen.
The core of your soul, your essence supreme.
Your touch is intense, your presence is surreal.
These eyes yearn to discover the depths of your entirety.
These feelings want to be deeper than skin deep.
These fingers walking along your body yearn to transcend touch.
These whispers want to be louder than they sound, they want to echo inside of you.
These are more than just words.

This is my everything.

This is my entire being bare before you.
I don’t blame you if you can’t understand, I barely do myself.
But I don’t know any other way to let you know,
that I’m not being less than honest with you.
Right now I’m more real and true than I’ve ever been.
Truly, deeply, madly I say, I can’t wait till tomorrow.
Tomorrow I might be gone, burnt to ashes by your blazing heat.
I can’t ride it out.
I don’t want you now, I want you right now.
When I say I want you, I don’t just mean your body.
I want your mind, body and soul.

Your beautiful flaws and heartfelt scars.

So stay with me tonight.
Let’s see what we can become.
We’ll leave ourselves behind.
Our closeness will carry us through the night.
