Realize (Part 1)

You alone know who I am when I’m alone.
Somehow, you came to realize the language of my humanity.
You saw through the tact that kept me so composed.

Tell me all the little things we’ve missed in the mirror.
Show me what eyes can’t see.

You make me feel different.

Good Morning, Good Night

photostudio_1491036201808

We make midnight feel like morning

Quiet nights and busy days know the truth
I can’t get by without loving you
I gave you all of me just to see you smile
Made you laugh so you’d stay for a while

Dreams begin with you
My eyes are open for the first time
Lying next to you is my only motivation
With every breath you love me too

We make midnight feel like morning
We’re gonna be alright
Set me apart if you like what you see
In your eyes is where everything begins

Good morning, good night
Stay with me on the edge of desire
Good morning, good night
I love you and want you more every time

Our hearts won’t be denied
Good morning, good night

Simple

Keep it simple and we won’t miss

Short and sweet
Never stopping to breathe
Living for light wherever it can be found
When the night comes our way may we shine brightly

Hide and seek
Such a beautiful mind is hard to find
If you feel lost I will find you
Lose yourself inside my eyes and you’ll never be alone

Safe and sound
Hand in hand holding space
My space and time we’re made for you
We’re time traveling between precious moments

Slow and steady
Let’s do this the right way
Heaven only knows where we’ll go
Patience show us what we can’t see

Keep your eyes on me
It’s the simple things we miss
Everything else can come and go
Keep it simple and we won’t miss

Masks (Pt. 4)

image

It’s too easy to get lost in what’s missing.
Slipping into deeper shades of grey with each mistake.
This won’t last with the world at our fingertips.

I recognize your life from your language.
You like your hell with a splash of Hennessey.
All the things you’ve done became you.

You want me to think of you differently as though I never knew your name.
We’re different breeds and it’s really starting to show.
Who do you think you are?

If yesterday doesn’t sit right with you move differently.
Get a handle on your truth and there’s nothing to think about.
Cancel all these complications.

When you’re M.I.A. it’s not the same.
All these pretenders imitating real talk.
If you want to be somebody, be yourself.

Understand your energy, live like it’s nobody’s business.
Show me something real, over and over again.
I want to see you.

Masks (Pt. 3)

image

You’re dangerous only when you’re misunderstood.
You want to cross the lines you know all too well.
Reflection shows what’s going on inside.

Hiding behind what you hate to admit.

The things we do to disguise our urges.
Getting caught up in drugs by any other name.
We’re either running to or from ourselves.

See through my demeanor and shades of grey.

You can’t react to what you don’t recognize.
Look deeper before you love the skin I’m in.
What the light tends to miss is what the dark can’t resist.

Freedom can be frightening, that’s why we want more.

All the things you’ve done become you, if you let them.
Introduce me to your truest identity.
All those secrets, take them off.

I want to see you.
